GUEST POLICIES

 

IDENTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTS

In accordance with local police regulations, ALL guests are required to provide a copy of their PASSPORT or ELECTRONIC IDENTITY CARD before check-in.

 

Guests will receive an email from Palazzo del Porto with an invitation link to submit their documents via our secure platform.

 

This documentation is required for legal and security reasons. Access to the facility and its services will only be granted after successful verification of the identification provided. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in complying with this requirement.

 

AUTO CHECK-IN

Our property operates with a self-check-in system.

 

Upon successful passport / ID verification, you will then receive another email to our guest portal where you will find your

Guests are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the check-in process described in the pre-arrival communication.

 

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

●     Standard check-in time starts at 3:00 pm.

●     Early check-ins can be done subject to availability, but must be requested in advance. (If the apartment is available, check-in can be brought forward and/or check-out postponed by a maximum of 2 hours upon payment of a sum equal to €30.00)

●     Standard Check-out time is 11:00 am.

●     Guests are required to leave the property by this time.

 

 

SMOKING POLICY

●     Smoking is strictly prohibited within the building. This includes all living spaces, apartments, and common areas

●     To ensure the comfort and well-being of all our guests, we kindly request that guests adhere to this policy to maintain a smoke-free environment

●     For those who wish to smoke, designated external terraces are available for this purpose. We kindly ask guests to observe the rules of etiquette and respect for external spaces while utilizing these areas.

 

          DESIGNATED OUTDOOR SMOKING AREA

●     For the convenience of our smoking guests, we have established a designated outdoor smoking area. Please use the ashtrays provided and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.

 

           SANCTIONS FOR VIOLATION

●     Guests who violate the no-smoking policy will be subject to a fine of €200. This fee will cover the cost of restoring the facility to smoke-free conditions. Repeat violations may result in eviction without refund.

 

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining our smoke-free facility for the enjoyment of all our guests.

 

NOISE POLICY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOST ITEMS

●     Since PALAZZO DEL PORTO is located in a prime area, we kindly request all guests to refrain from making excessive noise between the quiet hours of 10pm and 8am.

●     Late night partying in the property is strictly prohibited.

●     PALAZZO DEL PORTO will not be responsible for lost, forgotten or misplaced items at our facilities.

 

DAMAGES POLICY

●     During your stay, the apartment and all appliances and furniture must be treated with care and kept in good order. You are expected to notify PALAZZO DEL PORTO immediately if there is any damage or breakage in the apartment.

●     Guests will be held financially responsible for any damage to the apartment. This includes losses caused by the negligent actions and behavior of guests or third parties. A cursory check will be carried out at check-out. However, a more detailed review of the condition of the apartment and all appliances and amenities will be made shortly after check-out and before another guest occupies the apartment.

●     Guests will be held responsible for any damage or breakages that are beyond normal wear and use. In this case, a detailed damage statement together with an invoice for the cost of repair or replacement will be sent via email or fax immediately and followed by registered mail if the guest resides in Italy.

●     An email will be sent requesting the amount of damage to be charged to the credit card used to pay for the stay.

●     PALAZZO DEL PORTO can then take any action necessary to resolve any problems and ensure that all appliances and services are working and provided as expected.

 

           SANCTIONS FOR VIOLATION

●     In the event of damage to the structure of any kind, the owner reserves the right to charge a damage fee up to a  maximum sum of €1000, which must be covered by the customer.

 

EXTRA CLEANING

We expect guests to leave the property in a reasonably clean and tidy condition.

 

Standard cleaning would be done once-per-stay, however guests may request for additional cleaning at an additional €30).


Mid-stay cleaning will be complimentary for guests who stay for more than 4 days.  

 

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the integrity of our facility.

POLICY FOR CHILDREN

At PALAZZO DEL PORTO, we welcome families with children and strive to provide a comfortable and safe environment for all guests. To ensure an enjoyable stay for families, please keep in mind our child policy:

 

           SUPERVISION

●     Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

●     Children should not be left unattended in public areas or guest rooms.

 

           ACCOMMODATION

●     Children under 2 years old stay free

●     Guests can request cribs/infant beds if needed. Please inform PALAZZO DEL PORTO 24 hours in advance to allow sufficient time to organize everything.

 

PET POLICY

We are happy to welcome your small furry companions to PALAZZO DEL PORTO. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests, please adhere to the following pet policy:

Well-behaved pets are welcome at PALAZZO DEL PORTO.

 

           CLEANING RESPONSIBILITY

●     Guests are responsible for their pets and any waste in all areas of the property.

●     Waste collection bins are available for your convenience. Please use them responsibly.

 

           SAFETY AND HYGIENE

●     Guests are responsible for the safety and hygiene of their pets at all times.

●     Pets must be supervised and kept on a leash in common areas.

 

           DAMAGE CAUSED BY DOMESTIC ANIMALS

●     Guests will be held financially responsible for any damage caused by their pets to the property or its contents.

●     The animals will have to do their needs in the containers provided by the guest owners or outside PALAZZO DEL PORTO, the guest owners are directly responsible for non-compliance with this obligation.

●     Additional charges for cleaning or repairs may apply.

 

           RESPONSIBILITY

●     PALAZZO DEL PORTO will not be held responsible for any injuries or accidents related to pets in the facilities.

●     Guests are asked to keep their pets under control and to consider the safety and comfort of other guests.

 

By bringing your pet to PALAZZO DEL PORTO, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these guidelines. We appreciate your cooperation to ensure an enjoyable stay for all guests, including our four-legged friends. ALCOHOL POLICY

At PALAZZO DEL PORTO, we want to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all our guests. To maintain a responsible atmosphere, please adhere to the following alcohol policy:

 

           LEGAL DRINKING AGE

●     All guests must comply with the legal drinking age of 18 in Genova.

●     It is prohibited to supply alcohol to anyone under the legal drinking age.

 

           CONSUMPTION

●     Alcohol consumption is limited to private spaces, such as guest rooms or designated outdoor areas.

●     Public or common areas, including hallways and lobbies, are alcohol-free zones.

 

           EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION

●     Excessive alcohol consumption resulting in excessive and/or destructive behavior will not be tolerated.

●     Guests are responsible for their own behavior under the influence of alcohol.

●     Excessive and/or destructive behavior due to alcohol consumption may result in expulsion without refund.

 

           SANCTIONS FOR VIOLATION

●     If the following standards of care for the surrounding environment and the spaces shared by other customers present in the structure are not respected, the owner reserves the right to request a refund which can reach up to a maximum of €350 which sum must be covered by the customer.

 

           OTHER PROVISIONS

●     The sale of alcohol by guests at the property is strictly prohibited.

●     Any alcohol-related business requires prior management approval.

 

           RESPONSIBILITY

●     Guests are solely responsible for their own alcohol consumption and any consequences that may result.

●     PALAZZO DEL PORTO will not be held responsible for injuries, accidents or damages related to alcohol consumption.

 

By staying at PALAZZO DEL PORTO, you agree to abide by this alcohol policy. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for all guests. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our reservations team.

 

POLICY ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO CAN ACCOMMODATE

At PALAZZO DEL PORTO, we want to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all our guests. The number of people residing in the apartment must be the same as confirmed in the booking.

 

           SANCTIONS FOR VIOLATION

●    If the following rules are not respected and there are more people present than those included in the booking (with verified IDs), the owner reserves the right to request a charge of €50 for each additional person present that is not registered on the booking.

 

GUEST SAFETY

●     In the context of our commitment to guest safety, PALAZZO DEL PORTO will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone except the relevant authorities. This includes receiving or delivering messages or indirectly forwarding telephone calls. It is the guests' responsibility to communicate their presence and room number to anyone they wish to receive calls or visits.

●     Security cameras are in use in all common areas of the property, and anyone on our property may be recorded.

BOOKING AND RESERVATION POLICIES

BOOKING AND RESERVATION

●     A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.

●     All rooms are subject to 10% VAT and the Genoa City Tax of €3 per person, per night. The Tourist Tax is not applicable to children under 14 years of age.

●     Please keep in mind the maximum occupancy rules when making a reservation.

 

Important

When you make a reservation, you are booking an apartment type (not a specific apartment). Each apartment type includes apartments similar in size and equipment, however, the interior design may vary.

 

We will process your booking within 24 hours of receiving your request. Please note that your reservation has not been made or verified until you receive a confirmation email from PALAZZO DEL PORTO.

 

These booking policies are designed to provide flexibility and transparency to our guests. If you have any questions or need further clarification on any policy, please do not hesitate to contact our reservations team.

 

 

STANDARD RATE

●     Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that, it will no longer be guaranteed, and the room may be reassigned.

●     For standard rates, your credit card will be pre-authorized to ensure it is valid.

●     Full payment will be processed 3 days prior to the arrival date of your reservation.

●     Cancellations made up to 72 hours before the scheduled check-in time are entitled to a full refund.

●     Cancellations received after 3pm on the third day prior to check-in will not be refunded or credited and will be charged in full.

●     In case of no-show, the total amount of the reservation will be charged and is non-refundable.

 

EXTEND YOUR STAY

●     Guests interested in extending their stay are encouraged to contact our reservations team via email.

●     Extension requests are subject to availability and current rates.

●     Additional charges may apply for extended stays.

 

MINIMUM AGE

●     All guests must be at least 18 years old to confirm a reservation at PALAZZO DEL PORTO.

●     A valid passport or electronic photo ID must be verified online before check-in.

 

Please notice: IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF THE RESERVATION AGREEMENT IS POSSIBLE IF:

●     More guests stay in the facility than agreed upon;

●     There is excessive noise in the evening or night hours;

●     The property you have booked (or given to other people) is sublet. The number of people residing in the apartment must be the same as confirmed in the booking. Accommodation for additional guests may be required.

●     PALAZZO DEL PORTO reserves the right to cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnight in the apartment.
